Caeda, The Birth.
And so, the beginning of time and creation itself. Caeda, created by none other than the nine divine bodies, themselves. At the pinnacle, sits Qyftarr - God of the Sun, and the Lord of the Heavens - as well as his counterpart, Eta - Goddess of the Moon, and Mistress of the Heavens. These two Aerkin (Name subject to change) sit beside the others to form the Circle of Providence (COP). It is this very circle that would go on to forge the planet of Caeda, and the very fabric of the universe, as it stands. Each work together to form the vessel that we are set upon, to live out our live, and to weave our own stories, and tales to be told until the end of time.<expand on how Qyftarr and Eta created it: Qyftarr with the sun, Eta with the moon, and both joining forces for Caeda as a planet.> Though they are powerful beings, the two cannot do everything on their own. Thus, their kin step in to help:
First came Qyftarr’s first brother, Oceyar: the God of the Seas, Rivers, and Earthquakes. Oceyar flooded much of Caeda to form the seas that crash upon the landscapes and with rivers and earthquakes, he carved the lands further into what they are today.
Second came the second brother, Ydarus: the God of Storms, Winds and Speed. His might pushed the air into winds spreading all across the land. His power caused rains and thunder to strike down upon the earth, forming the weather and seasons of Caeda.
Next came Vyris, daughter to Qyftarr and Eta, and Goddess of Nature and Life. Taking advantage of the rains and newly created seasons, Vyris grew sprouts from the ground, allowing trees and plants to spread throughout the lands. As she nurtures each one, she decides even more life is able to be given to the lands. So from the grounds come cattle and swine for food, as well as wolves and horses for companionship; with the aid of Oceyar, she was able to bring life to the seas as well, but something was still missing.. Vyris found herself being very lonely, therefore, rather than bringing life from the land, she would give life from herself, giving birth to the first generation of humans.
As the humans begin to develop their ways, so emerges Athys: the second daughter to Qyftarr and Eta, and the Goddess of Wisdom. Athys guides the beginning of humans, helping them learn how to thrive with their new life and surroundings. She teaches them the ways of language so that they can communicate and share knowledge and she teaches them to hunt on the land and in the sea. As the years went on, however, the humans needed less help and were able to expand on their own. No longer feeling useful, Athys and Vyris worked together to make more life. They took the lifeblood of the humans and the essences of the world around them to expand life on the planet. From the trees they took gracefulness and longevity, and so the Elves were born; from the rocks and soil, they took hardiness and strength, and so came the Orcs. With different variations of lifeblood and essences, they were also able to create more of the races we know today, such as dwarves and trolls.
However, with life also comes death, and with death the Goddess of Darkness herself - Lelthys. Hungry for as much power as she could hold, she lured the Lord of the Heavens to a field to speak with him, where they would become more acquainted. Qyftarr was awestruck by her beauty and she convinced him to stay into the nighttime and darkness where she was able to manipulate him into asking for her hand in marriage.
With her new-found power, she was able to raise the dead and create monsters out of the darkness that resides in the many caverns of Caeda. When the sun falls, she is the most powerful: raising monsters to no end, as long as the darkness prevails, however when dawn arises, many of the monsters lack the energy to stay, and so burst into flames with the rays of the sun.
Power was not the only thing Lelthys gained, as the new marriage also brought her children. Cyaos, God of war was born first. Isheia, God of Frost was born second. Mistress of Vampires, Witches, and those with ice in their veins.
