The Heralds and Legends of old all come to a consensus: that premonitions, and glimpses of the future are reserved for Oracles, and those that are favored by the Gods. However. Time has come to disprove this theory, through the common people of the world of Caeda. A clear, moonless night. Two commoners, asleep, seemingly peaceful, awaken in a hurry. Sweat dripping from their brow, the not so faded memory of the horrendous nightmare remains fresh in their minds. Both of them, on opposite side of the continent, sitting bolt upright in the midst of their sleep. Simultaneously, the rush outside, screams tearing from their throats. After some screaming, the noise forms into words "PHAROS! PHAROS IS RISING! HE BRINGS LE-" The first one is fried, from a lone lightning bolt in a clear sky. A hooded figure watches from a nearby tree. "....." Before walking away, he glances at the still sleeping town, turning westward and dragging the body along with him. The second's head is cleaved in half by a lightly shimmering axe. An almost perverted "Yessssss" is heard, followed by the sounds of bones breaking, and the body's meat being rended from its skeleton. A scaly figure stands over the half-eaten body, before dragging it in an easterly direction. The two figures meet on opposite sides of a water filled pentagram, dropping the bodies within, before heading their separate ways. Elsewhere, a third dreamer awakes, the vision of the Gods seared into his memory. He cannot help but spread the word.
