Character Name: Ailduin Preszana (credit to the site Fantasy Name Generator)
Character Race: Elf
Character Class: Mage
Character Age: 47 years (still quite young for an elf)
Character Gender: Male
Character Build: Ailduin is your standard elf in his build, being tall and slender. His height is approximately 7'2", and is quite sleek with some slight bulge in his biceps and upper thighs. While decently fit, Ailduin is by no means muscular; his sleek body allows for quick, agile movements and impressive reaction times. His hair flows down in rays of gold, a light blonde that radiates the sun's light off its surface. Buried below to furrowed and dark brows are his eyes of emerald, two green orbs that often offer a complete misconception as to what Ailduin is actually thinking. His nose and mouth are just typical, fitting the face mildly well with his defined jaw line to offer what is an average face altogether (meaning, he is not super handsome by any means). Ailduin's hands are feet are proportionate to his body, seeming large to smaller races and beings but remaining in actuality quite normal sized features. His ears stick back as opposed to outward, and despite the tips poking out through his hair, it is sometimes hard to distinguish whether or not he even has ears.
Character Religion: Ailduin primarily follows and prays under the goddess Vyris, for safe travels in natural encounters along his many journies. However, from time to time, he utters a quiet prayer to Eta for the strength to mercilessly find whom he hunts for on lonely and dark nights. As time grows, he feels less obliged to follow any sort of religion, but still dutifully tends to his chosen deities in hopes that perhaps they will eventually grant his requests and acknowledge his cries.
"The Wanderer of the Woods"
Ailduin Preszana's parents were of a rogue variety, more outlandish than what elves tended to be. They practiced their magecraft and other sorceries from afar the elven villages, in hopes of finding a secret power never-before discovered. Ailduin as a young lad came to a conclusion that neither of his parents would ever really stop their research to tend to their son; there was too much corruption within them. Nonetheless, Ailduin put up with a variety of hardship and continued living with his parents on the outskirts of his home village.
While his parents raced to find a new magic to possess, Ailduin aimed to grow up quite successfully, in an attempt to gain his parents adoration and/or attention. He stuck with his peers, learning a variety of skills on a basic level to serve him quite well as time went on: archery, tracking, hunting, swimming, acrobatics, and one friend of his even showed Ailduin how to throw some daggers. Ailduin was considered a great huntsman for the elves, bringing his small town plenty of prized foods, both of vegetation and of carnivorous varieties. He thought this could attract his parents.
However, upon one return home, Ailduin came to find a note left behind for him by his parents stating that they were on to something - a stone, of sorts - that might offer them the power they craved. They had abandoned the town, taking some of Ailduin's meats with them, in order to find out the secrets of rune magic. Being young, and being one of emotion, Ailduin bawled at the dismissal of his parents who had never cared for him - in his mind, they couldn't have loved him since they had just left him outright.
He wanted to die. Ailduin considered that his efforts were nothing to anyone, especially his parents, and that all he had offered to his people wasn't anything remarkable. He sat a creek one quiet sunny morning, looking deep within himself to find the courage to tell himself that he was wrong... but instead, the voice he was looking for said something different to him.
"Find your parents and present them with what they seek. They'll foolish to know they had it all along."
To what the voice was referring to, Ailduin was not quite certain. He processed what he heard repeatedly, looking for some hints or gestures. Finally frustrated with this annoying riddle, he had headed home, and rather than rest in his room he stalked the studies and documents of his parents regarding magecraft. Completely enticed, Ailduin spent weeks studying their books, memorizing giving notes left behind by his predecessors and book marking pages all his own. Something finally hit him.
Ailduin took a staff, represented more as a walking stick, and brought a bag to pack his parents tomes. He made sure he had food and supplies for several days travel, and then before anyone could question him, he was gone, off to wander the woods spanning all of Caeda.
He had to know more about rune magic. And he had to find his parents... at any cost.
Character Positive Traits: Ailduin is very dead-set on his goals, following through on almost anything he says that he plans to do. Furthermore, his passion drives him to always put forth an intense effort. It is probably agreeable that Ailduin is quite respectable as a hard worker, who plays both the leader and the follower quite well. Because of his dedication, Ailduin learns things quite quick compared to most, and remains focused in times of chaos. He is sufficient at hunting, tracking, using bows, and consistently displays decent reaction/swiftness.
Character Negative Traits: Like most elves, Ailduin can be a major racist towards non-elves. He also is very opinionated, and is not afraid to speak his mind. He is most definitely a narcissist, without modesty, acknowledging that he caries plenty of skills and trades that make him special. Ironically, he faces a constant self conflict of trying to believe in himself, because each day that he goes without finding his parents is another day he feels his worth and sanity deteriorate. Lastly, Ailduin has a mighty temper, which is the one thing that stands him aside from most elves, and little things about his past or to mock his person trigger him into begrudging rage.
