Caeda S3 Greylist Application
[Out of Character Information]
What is your Minecraft IGN? Geotec
How old are you? 18
What is your timezone? EST
Have you read the rules? Which do you agree with the most?
Yes. My favorite would likely be the rule regarding magic, as all too often have I seen a fantasy server where every character and their widowed grandmother, three marriages removed knows an array of world-ending spells. Requiring some degree of trust and RP to earn the rights to magic sounds very keen to me, though I might worry about a small cult of personality forming around said magical masters due to their ability to grant powers otherwise unattainable.
Where did you find Caeda? Friend recommended it to me.
Have you previously applied to this server? Nope.

What is Roleplay?
Roleplay is when two or more people assume roles as characters in a fictional environment, fantastical or otherwise. This could be considered collaborative storytelling, especially given the roles of moderators, lore teams, and other staff to maintain a cohesive universe and keep others within the bounds of what the universe allows.
What is Metagaming?
When a player uses knowledge they have gained in real life, say through the Discord or word-of-mouth, in game when their character wouldn’t have known this information realistically. An example of this could be, say, when your friend informs you OOCly that he’s being mugged the town over, and your character leaves the bar and heads towards the other town ‘just because you felt like it’ and saved your friend’s character.
What is Powergaming?
Powergaming is when you make your character undefeatable, simply by saying so and ignoring the realistic potential of your character’s ability, such as saying ‘Elbor grabs Figley’s head, crushing it like a rotten egg.’ This doesn’t allow Figley to react, and it also gives Elbor the strength of giants despite him being, say, a High Human.

This is the section where you should begin to formulate and create your character. This character should follow the server’s lore and be a basic character. You character should not start with any masteries or proficiencies. For example, you cannot start a character that has been a mage, or swordsman, for hundreds of years. This takes away from character development and can fall under Powergaming in some cases.
What is your character’s race? Kobold
What is your character’s gender? Male
What is your character’s name? Kif
How old is your character? 18
What is your character’s Biography thus far?
As Kapi’s oldest younger brother, he received the least of the verbal lashings when working the farm with her. Unlike most of the siblings, Kif had performed the feat of earning enough of Kapi’s trust to do several of the more important jobs within the farm; namely, the ones she wasn’t fond of. This curtailed things such as catching loose rats and collecting centipede venom - well, most things that involved centipedes. He never minded the little things, finding fascination in them; how all those little legs worked together to move the hunk of meat on top. He's been working on the farm for most of his life, but is beginning to develop stir-fever, seeking greater things.
Describe your character’s personality.
Despite the image he’s managed to work up, much like a human spreading out to look big and scary, it’s little deeper than surface-level and can be torn down like a stitched cloth tent. His bark’s a whole lot worse than his bite, you could say. Truth is, though, throughout the consistent abuse in childhood from his siblings, he’s grown a deep need to feel valued. He wants to appear strong, often closing away his vulnerable feelings and sadness in order to appear in control and tough. Perhaps it’s a deep-seated method for proving himself to his sister, but it’s definitely self-destructive. Despite it being his job, he truly does love caring for small, basic creatures. Maintaining families, no matter what they’re comprised of, fulfills a deep satisfaction inside Kif.
What ambitions do they possess?
He scrabbles for positions of power and responsibility, both of which he is sorely under-equipped to handle. After his sister stopped the abuse - when he was roughly 12 - he has consistently been tucked under her proverbial wing, always looking out as her #2.
What are your character’s strengths and talents?
His occupation has led to quick, precise feet and even quicker, more precise hands. After hiding himself for so long, he’s also become quite decent at lying, making up stories, and other acts of deceivery. He has a bit of an affinity for animals, and a high level of tolerance for things he considers distasteful or obnoxious.
What are your character’s weaknesses and inabilities?
Due to the fact that he was never given permission to do any of the heavy lifting on the farm, his body’s not in it’s peak condition. Given the average labor a kobold undergoes, though, this means that he’s a bit behind the curve, physical strength-wise. He’s quite powerless, and struggles to make big, important decisions on his own.
Describe your character’s appearance.
His coat is a dull, dark teal, splotching into some darker shades of bluegreen along his arms and back. His underbelly is comparatively bright, a vivid beige-yellow. Like most kobolds, his feet and ankles are quite weathered, some small scars and bite-marks visible to this day. He has several runes painted sloppily across his back, enumerating what he wants to be some of his better traits - strength, resiliency, and force.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
(Required for the following races: High Human, Kobold, Ataw.)
What is the culture of your chosen race?
It largely depends on the tribe. Largely, though, the culture is Yip’Kar’Yip. In Yip’Kar’Yip, the tribe’s leader is a chosen female or skilled kobold. Chosen, of course, by the tribe’s Shaman. Yip’Kar’Yip kobolds generally have a mentality that puts surface-dwellers in a negative light and a mentality that encourages taking (or stealing) what you can, and could be described as tribally industrious. Most kobolds of Yip’Kar’Yip decorate themselves with body modifications, jewelry, and markings, rather than clothing.
How long does this race live?
Although Kobolds can live for a very long time (120+ years), they rarely reach even a fraction of that potential, dying before 30.
Name three physical traits of the race.
They are short, scaly, possess claws, and have especially strong jaws.
How does your character compare to the average member of this race?
He’s a little bit weaker physically, and likely makes up for it in the mental department. Emotionally, maybe not so much.
