Homunculus (Latin for "Little Human") refers to the medieval legendary concept of an artificially created human, presumably brought into existence by certain means of alchemy. Made from the body of a descendent (either alive or dead), and/or strong alchemy ingredients. The creature is created in the likeness of the body and/or ingredients that were used to create it. Homunculi do not believe in morals, they do everything to reach the goals they create for themselves. This results in conflict with the immediate family and those that may have known the person that the Homunculus may have known during their life. They appear identical to whatever race they were created from, whether it be Human or Elf. Homunculi have the highest intellect of all the types of artificially created beings, yet, remain self-centered, resembling the behavior and emotional manipulation of a sociopath. Homunculi, have a lifespan only a tad shorter than whatever race it manifests as, due to the imperfections of its unnatural body. A Homunculus born of an elven form would live to be 700 or 800 years old.
Homunculi, lacking souls and natural essence, are unable to cast or use any form of magic. However, they may bear some resistance to an element based on the skill of their creating alchemist, and the reagents that are used in their creation.
Homunculi lack the functions, necessities, and want to have sexual relations, and cannot bear children.
Homunculi are physically superior to humans in every way. Their bodies are faster, stronger, and far more resilient than normal human bodies. They do not age (in most cases), are immune to all sicknesses and poisons. The most efficient way to kill one is to unearth their oppositional element, or to repeatedly kill them until their false essence is depleted. Homunculi are creatures created to replace certain persons who have died, coming into proximity with that person's remains results in the Homunculus becoming weakened to the point of immobility.
