Kind of feel that we should do the new map as soon as possible. The server is turning more and more into a ghost town. I drop by a few times on my phone while at work and it's always 3-5 people or less on. Even on the weekends it doesn't seem to pick up as much.
New map would probably be best for revitalizing activity and rp potential
First off, let me make the point that instead of complaining and whining about how there's few people online, try doing something about it other than getting on for thirty seconds. If you're worried about server population, do what you can instead of complain, y'know? Now I understand you're probably busy with a life, but do try to assist with a problem you see if you can.
Secondly, you never seem to be on for long enough to see that there are more people than you'd expect. You seem to get on during the time people are away from their computers, such as mealtimes. While this is understandable, or may even be a misconception for me due to timezones, it seems like you're on when others are off.
Lastly, I know both sides of the argument for and against a map change. People are excited for new tech and stories, some really aren't. Others want to keep their characters and their stories as they are (despite not voting to keep the same map) which is something I fully understand. I know how hard it is to get rid of a character, after lots of development through thin and thick. If anything, this may scare one or two people off. I also know firsthand that some aren't as excited for the introduction of muskets, though I hope implementation will change their mind on said topic. So long as there are guidelines for use in Honor or Rolls combat, it should be alright.
I hope I didn't sound terribly hostile through this, but I just wish to show the prespective of the argument for keeping and changing from both sides. Have a good day! ~Snow
Edit: Not saying map change is bad, but that RP levels would likely stay the same or increase slightly. We won't be a big-banger like some with hundreds overnight, despite that being brutal exaggeration.
I've been having a lot of work to do this week so getting on for a short bit on phone is most I can do, and even when I'm not at work no ones ever on, so there's no point in getting on myself. As for the whole thing about never being on long enough to see if there's more people, there is the dynamic map which almost always shows very little people on, like right this minute there's only 1. And even for those hiding from dynmap I can just go to multiplayer page in MC and see how many people are logged in. I find that even whenever I do physically get on, there's nothing at all to do, I end up doing circles around my house waiting to see if anything remotely interesting happens, then I leave.
